.....The Glade School (District 25) was located between Castle Rock and Larkspur near Tomah Road. The school was closed by a minor measles epidemic in 1896, but little else is known about it. It is important to remember that students often walked to school, and schools were often built to lessen the distance for the children to walk. The school consolidated with Castle Rock in early May of 1918.
